Matthew Watson Young is a visual communicator, specialising in the art direction and design of books and other printed matter.

In 2023 I became Head of Design at Thames & Hudson, leading a large team of designers and art directors, creating some of the best arts and visual culture books in the business.

Previously, I worked at Penguin Random House, where I began my career as a Junior Designer, and worked my way up to Head of Design for Illustrated Books.
